How it works

Have a look at the catalogue

How can I consult the catalogue ?

Click here, request a printed version of the catalogue at info@arenbergauctions.com or visit us during the viewing days.

The catalogue is available about four weeks before the auction on our site, as well as the platforms Drouot and Invaluable.

Will I receive notification of viewing and auction days?

Have a look at our calendar, or subscribe to our newsletter to stay informed about our viewing and auction days.

You can also use handy key words to manage alerts in order to be notified when items from your field of interest will be presented.

Remember to, if possible, use keywords in multiple languages (Dutch, French, English), as descriptions are also trilingual.

Bid

How can I place a bid?

  • In the auction room, with a buyers’ number received upon arrival.
  • By bidform, sent to us by mail or e-mail until 24 hours before the start of the auction.
  • By placing a bid through the catalogue on our website, after registration with log-in, until 24 hours before the start of the auction.
  • Online live-bidding via Invaluable (registration mandatory, before or during the auction)
  • By live-bidding after registration with Drouot Digital and subscribing to the auction until 2 hours before the start of the auction. Don’t forget to subscribe for each separate auction day if you want to live bid during both auction days.

Account

When will I receive my statement?

Following a successful bid, you will receive an account statement, showing the hammer price per lot, plus the premium (28% of the hammer price; 30% via the platforms Drouot Digital and Invaluable), and eventually the resale tax, if applicable, at a hammer price of € 2.000 or more, only for original art and if the author died less than 70 years ago.

Collecting acquisitions or shipment
